This is quite radical trash the dress - there's no way that the dress can be salvaged after that. But I guess most couples won't go quite that far. It wouldn't scare me, but I don't think that we'd get our wedding party and guests to join in on going that far so we'll probably choose a more moderate way for our ttd. But it surely looks wild!
