Guests joining in ?

As I've mentioned on a couple of other threads here our plan is to do our ttd thing at the end of the reception, with possibly a second go the next night at the end of that one (we're celebrating for about 4 days). We'll do it with our wedding party as well and we're thinking of asking our guests to join in too. It could be a wild, fun end to the night. The only question is really, are the guests likely to go for it ? My guess is that some of my friends will and that there will be others who won't.

Has anyone been to a wedding where something like that was done ? Our plan for the end of the first reception is to make use of the lovely pool of the resort... don't know yet what we'll do for the second one, maybe a food fight or something. If you were at a wedding as a guest, would you go for something like that ?

Oh a food fight would be so great! Although I think you'll find a few guests won't want to participate. Do you think they might feel left out if they didn't want too?

As a guest, I think I would not want to participate if it was just sprung on me. But I think maybe if just the BP did it, it would be fantastic!

I hope that people won't feel left out even if they don't join in. I don't want it to be compulsary, but it will be fun if people really dare to go for it.

With our weddng party there is no problem, at least not with the ones on my side. I know that some of my friends are really all for our wild ideas... I'm less certain about some of his friends but the main guess is that they'll go for it without any problems.

Well I expect some people might be worried about their clothes, but just going into the pool will probably not really ruin anything. If we have a food fight, yes that might be tougher. I guess it would mainly be the guys who'd have to watch out, as they use their tuxes over and over. With the ladies formal gowns they are often just used once anyhow so there would be less of a concern. Most women that I know seem to prefer to be dead to wearing the same dress to more than one occasion...

But in any case we've organized so that those who get wet the first night will get their outfits dried and ironed in time for the next night, so if they plan on wearing the same outfit the second night it will be ok anyhow. The bridal party will in any case wear the same outfits.
