How about Valentines Day??....For wedding..
We where just having a look and realised that Valentines Day next year is a Saturday!
Oh how exciting FH would never forget our anniversary.. Would you be angry if your friend/relative had their wedding that day... I think its so romantic!!

It is a very romantic date BUT you had better get in and book EVERYTHING NOW!!! It is incredibly popular (we've knocked back over 20 bookings already) and also incredibly expensive. Florists especially put their prices up massive amounts and so do reception venues.

You will find it will be hard to find a venue if it's on a Saturday. Also a lot of supplier charge more for special dates.
we got married on 07/07/07 and got in early and made sure we said 7th July when booking things. We were later told by a lot of our suppliers that if they had have realised the demand for that date they would have had a surcharge.

You may find that everybody realises that Valentine's Day will be popular for weddings and Venues/Suppliers may impose a premium for that date.
Unethical, yes but there are lots of suppliers out there that will try and get as much as possible out of people, plus the laws of supply and demand would kick in. Just my thoughts - I do not agree with this practice.

Jen my FH wanted a date like that...
Or 06/07/09 Anyways things like florist, cakes etc we are only paying $50-60 for each... And we are not having wedding cars unless they are a family friends and would be free..

When I looked at reception centres at the start of the year EVERYONE was booked for Saturday 14 February 09. Most of them said that date had been booked for at least 2 years and that there was a waiting list should a couple drop out. I was looking for a Friday so it wasn't a concern to me and my finace think's V day is tacky so it wasn't an option. I just couldn't get over the demand. You will probably be hard pressed to get a photographer for that date as well.
