How much did you pay for Hair for you & Bridesmaids and for Make-up too?

I'm in a bit of a tight spot and am getting married on the other side of australia where I know nor trust no one for my hair.

I've been getting a few quotes from hair dressers close to mum's house (where will be getting ready) but I have no idea if they do good work or if they will be crap...

Whats the norm for bridal hair & make-up...

Do you think I should do a trial while i am over there in OCT or is it too soon?

Not getting our hair professionally done but our make up is $45 each for the trial and $65 each for the day. JBM and FG are free. Oh and it's an extra $10 for eyelashes.
It seems to be the cheapest I have come across but that is here in Perth

Oh and I had a 1st trial to help me decide last month and I had 12 months to go

I had trouble finding a makeup artist, and ended up going with one of the junior girls at my hairdressing salon, who is a Napolean rep. She charged me $85 each for me, my sister (BM) and my mum, and did my Nana for free cause she just wanted light makeup.
My hairdresser did my hair, my sister's and my mum's, and it was $150 for me, and $100 each for the other two.
So all up, I paid $605 for hair and makeup for 3 people

I wish I could afford to take Troy Boy my hairdresser here in Perth with ME!!!!
I dont trust anyone with my hair besides him :*(

ingrid did you inquire with brides best friend when you booked your photography they also do hair and make-up which they will do your trial when you do your photo shoot with them

$120 for hair for each of us and $50 for makeup at the most fantastic place here!

Am paying $70 for hair and $60 for make up -- thats them coming out to us tho....

I paid for me and Mum to have ours done and the BM's are paying for their own.....

Ingz having ur trial soon depends on how often u will be "popping" over to this side of the country between now and your wedding.... It can't hurt to do one now - at least then u have time if u don't like the hair style etc....

i had a hair trial in June - wanted to see how much longer i needed to grow my hair for the style i wanted. I have now changed my mind and not having my hair like that.

I was in a wedding in Aug and it cost us $30 each for our hair done and $30 each for our make up and they came to the house. They were the brides local beauty salon.
