my advice - unless everyone has rsvped for the event don't uninvite her yet as there may be others who can't come - when is the rsvp date and when is the event?

Speak to her... Just let her know that interstate family have managed to find a way to get to the engagement party now and ask if she minds going out to dinner or for a few drinks at a different date so that they can attend...
Afterall, if she's a friend she should understand... And still want to say congrats as well! |

I think if you have had a falling out or something like that it is ok to uninvite. But I think it's a little rude to uninvite because people who previously said they were unavailable are now available.
As others have said wait for all the RSVP's to come back and possibly squeeze them on another table?

But then it could be ruder if I wait as most people have known the date for quite some time and have na at work just to come...
SO most will prob be able to come! I know Id be upset if I got uninvited to something! So thats why I am stuck. |

I think it is very rude. But that is just my opinion. I would understand about being invited at a later date due to costs and numbers etc, but to then be invited and then uninvited, I think I would tell the person where to stick their friendship. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but yeah, I just couldnt do it to someone.
