how young page boy and flower girl?
Just wondering how young children have you or will you have in your bridal party? my nephew will be almost 4 which I think is doable, but as much as I would love to have our god daughter (and offspring of my MOH), at less than 18 months I can't really see that working!

I'm very interested to hear past brides experiences with young kiddies, or if you have been a guest at weddings where this has been the case.

I didnt have page boys and flower girls but my sister (who was 6 or 7 at the time) was a junior bridesmaid. I think it would depend on the child... Some 18 month olds are better behaved than 3 yr olds

Our then 3yr old was our page boy... he was adorable, but did run around quite a bit during the start of the ceremony....

Up and down the steps of the outdoor altar and the bridal party...

Depends on how you think your nephew will be with all the people and the excitement....

Would one of the BM's carry the FG? or will she walk on her own?

I'm not having any junior's in our wedding, but my friend had her nieces and nephews in hers and they were very well behaved, and also provided some comic relief!

My suggestion is just to go with what you feel is right and it will work itself out

I had three flower girls - the youngest was 18 months, then 2.5yrs, then 3.5yrs.

They were the highlight of my wedding.... i loved having 3 young flowergirls.

The 18 month old was adorable and did ballet dancing during the music at the church.... very cute.

Our youngest flowergirl was 3 & she was very well behaved & done a wonderful job!
She did get a little cranky after the ceremony & was too upset to get any pics taken, but that was ok.

My flowergirl was 3 and she was fine, just gorgeous. She did get hungry though so it may be an idea to have a snack on hand.

Our flowergirl (DH's god daughter and cousin) was 10 and our page boy was turning 10 later that month. They were quite well behaved but we were the opposite and wondering what age was too old for flowergirl and page boy as having a junior bm didn't really appeal to me. DH's cousin had her 18 month old neice as flowergirl and she looked adorable when she walked up the aisle with her brother and sister but not long into the ceremony she began crying for her mother who was moh and then for her grandpa but then settled down. But then another wedding that we went to had a 18 month old flowergirl who was very well behaved and had her father the groom in tears. Everyone spoke of how adorable she was that day.

thanks for your advice guys! really good to hear people's experiences. I'll wait a bit and see what sort of toddler my god daughter turns into - she just started crawling so it's a little soon to tell! My nephew is a very outgoing 3yo so I think he will be fine and very entertaining :)

We're having 3 flower girls. One will be a month off turning 3, One will be a week off turning 5, and the eldest will be 7.
