Does anyone know if you can have/supply alcohol in the outdoor areas of Bi-centennial Park/Olympic Park in Homebush??

Now that I have to think of everything for myself as the party planner was a bust I'm looking at hiring a venue for the Engagement party...

I've found 2 sites at Olympic Park that are (what I *think*) cheap that will host around the number we're thinking for the engagement party, they are both outside though...

One is $244 and the other is $225 for 4 hours site hire... Capacity for 100-200...

I don't know about this site specifically but to supply alcohol in a public area you usually will need to obtain an alcohol licence.

From council?? That'd be expensive wouldn't it??

I think going to a "proper" venue will cost too much... If we're lucky, we'll have about $2k to put towards it, but that depends on which bills come in too... I'd also prefer to put more into the wedding...

i found this on their site - it was in the parkland terms and conditions of hiring

Alcohol: Alcohol may be served at private functions provided that Responsible Service of Alcohol provisions are practiced. It is illegal to serve alcohol to minors.
