Kitchen tea - so much fun! - Wedding Forum

Just wanted to share, had my kitchen tea/bridal shower this afternoon, with about 15 of my nearest and dearest friends and family - was sooooo much fun! And I wore my 'Bride' tank top which was great, I won't have many opportunities to wear it for long lol!

My mum and bridesmaid (sister) arranged the whole thing, and catered it themselves, we had so many yummy things! Little finger sandwiches, cupcakes, mini eclairs, teeny little pies, mini cookies with pink icing, so much stuff! And tea! And heaps of champagne! Regular champagne with those yummy hibiscus flowers, then pink Moet as well - so if my tpying is dodgy right now its probably because of the champers!

And I didn't realise that guests bring pressies - was so not expecting that! All the girls brought their fave recipe, plus a lovely little kitchen themed gift. And we played games which was great fun, and had prizes.

Now I am home by myself eating leftover food from the day while Vaughan has drinks then dinner with his mates, grooman, and my dad and brother. I'll probably be sound asleep when he makes it home!

No we're not doing hens/bucks nights - this is Vaughan's night out with the guys tonight, and we both didn't really feel like doing the whole hens or bucks nights. Today was my 'girly day' and tonight is his 'blokes night' lol
Hopefully that makes some sense, champagne impeding my capacity to think/type

OMG! Catherine- the girl on the left in your first picture is wearing a dress I have but the strangest thing is I also team it with a long sleeve black shirt underneath in winter to keep warm. And at first glance I thought it was me cos I have long dark hair like that!

Thats so funny Sarah! Maybe she's your long lost twin :)
That's Vaughan's best mates girlfriend (also one of my closest friends) - she was desparate to wear a dress today but it was too ciold not to wear the top under it, she was wearing black tights too lol!
