I have never BEEN to a wedding there but a friend's sister had her reception in there and they have not stopped raving about how great it was there - and she got married over 2 years ago now!!!

Flic I am so excited for you!! I'm so glad that you guys found your venue so quickly! Are you having the ceremony on the grounds as well or are you going somewhere else?

We're thinking of having the ceremony there in front of the fountain. I've always loved the idea of a garden wedding and it'd be so easy to have the ceremony and reception at the one place. Plus they only charge $150 to hold the ceremony there.

They've got a wedding there next weekend so we're going down there to see what it looks like.

No idea for a theme yet. I was watching Friends last night though and saw the episode with Phoebe's wedding. I absolutely love the bouquet she had (http://images.tvnz.co.nz/tvnz_images...isodic12_d.jpg), so at the moment i'm wondering if multicoloured would work for a theme, or if it would end up looking silly. Any ideas/opinions on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

So we're pretty sure we've chosen a venue and now we've started looking at photographers. We've narrowed it down to 3; Glenn Hawke, Gainsborough, Lumo. We're meeting with them all next weekend, so hopefully we'll have that sorted out too.

Ayers house looks lovely from the outside. I have never been inside.... A friend had their whole wedding their last year. They had a marquee out the front i think. I didn't go to it so not really sure....

ooooh That sounds beautiful!! I've seen it from the outside several times when working at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and it looks great.

The planning seems to be going pretty easy so far. I think that's cos we've got really similar tastes. Here's hoping it remains this easy for all the rest of the planning.
