My Mood:
Maori Polynesian Islands Theme
FH is Maori/Scottish and I am from the Cook Islands (Rarotongan) so we have decided to have a mix of both, a Maori and Polynesian island style wedding....this is what we have so far

No, Fiji....close enough....hehehehe
FH's cousin got married in Rarotonga last year. When we were deciding on where to get married FH suggested Raro but my wedding would have turned into a real "island wedding" (200+) and most of them I probably wouldn't have known. So we chose Fiji as FH lived there for a few years and we could invite who we wanted without the additionals...lol

what great ideas hike!
I am using mini flax kete (traditionial maori kits/bags) for our bonbonniere to give to the aussie guests - with kiwi choc/lollies inside and a small paua shell on them. I am European kiwi and love tying in Maori heritage - i have seen a maori design on a garter too!
