Mum got me a name change kit from a website after we got engaged. I have already filled most of them in, just waiting for the wedding! lol.
Includes all the official forms you need and step by step instructions for changing your drivers licence, registration, passport, bank accounts, electoral enrolment, Medicare, private health funds, superannuation, insurance policies, memberships, store accounts, and more |

I got a name change kit from the celebrant - it was in the envelope with the marriage cert.
I guess I didn't expect this - when I married the first time, the one from the day was the only one there was, and you could use it for everything! I don't mind needing another one, I just felt irritated that it wasn't all included and sent to us once it was registered! I'll get it all done... eventually! |

When I got married (all those years ago
) all you needed was the certificate you got on the day.I still haven't changed my passport (but that's due for renewal so I need to get one from Birhts Deaths and Marriages for that) or our council rates, land ownership titles, power, phone, gas .......... maybe the list of things I have changed is shorter - licence, medicare, health benefits, bank accounts, credit card.

i actually found a thing on a website... (can;t remember which one but am looking again) and you pay fifteen dollars for this package that gives you all the details and most of the forms you need to change your name...
still have to get the 'correct' certificate and all.. but at least it cuts it down... will definately be getting this package when i fidn it again. |
