My Mood:
pics before ceremony

Has anyone done this?
I am not overly keen on the idea, but as our ceremony will be late in the day, light isn't going to be great.

Any thoughts?
Is it a good idea?

Well I have spoken to FH and it looks like we will probably do this. We're not having a traditional wedding anyway. LOL
Not like it can be unlucky.... COs if that were the case, then we'd be completely outta luck.
Thanks for the reply DB.:)

We are doing this, only because our ceremony isnt until 5.30 (and i wanted to get some good shots from a hill on our farm that looks right down the sth coast). I'm still not overly confident i have made the right decision, but to get the photos i wanted this is what i have decided. Hopefully i can still think of something to surprise fh with when i walk down the aisle!!

blossy I think i'm addicted to BTB!

My Mood:
Another good thing about getting them done first is that the bolt of nervous excitement will be over before the ceremony, so you can relax and enjoy it without the "omg I'm freaking out!!!" factor. You'll have done that when you see each other.

So you still get the exciting bit, but are less likely to stammer over vows and you'll seem fresher and more relaxed for the important bit in my view :)

If you want to surprise FH when you walk down the aisle, given he's already seen you, how about if you come armed with something unexpected? Some ideas:
- a different, bigger, more dramatic bouquet?
- suddenly be wearing blue shoes (something blue)?
- bring him a silk hanky for his top pocket (and arrange it) when you get down the aisle, might match your colours or might be 'something blue', and could be embroidered with a special message
- have a friend or family member of your hubby that he hasn't seen in ages walk you down the aisle?
- suddenly have a veil or glamorous long gloves if you didn't before
- arrange with the celebrant for you to do a reading that he doesn't know about, something that means a lot to you both
- get his wedder engraved inside with a surprise message

The other thing you might consider is to arrange your getaway transport as a surprise. Something unusual. Like a really cool sports car, or a Harley trike or something. I wanted a helicopter (you can hire one here!) but the one I could afford doesn't fly at night, so I ended up booking a boat to take us away. But if ours was a daytime wedding, we were gonna leave in that helicopter! Wakka wakka wakka!!
