My Fh wants me to do a speech now other than thanking him what else can i say as him and the gms and bms will be thanking everyone else any ideas ..... help please

[Mill]

We both did a speech at our wedding. We did it together. My MOH helped me write it. Here is what we said:

"Mill: Ok Kyle and I have a confession to make – there were some moments over the past few weeks when we just weren’t sure if we would have everything done on time, or if we would make it here at all. BUT looking around right now and seeing all the important people who are here to share this day it was all worth it… plus it is pretty nice to finally be married!

Kyle: When we pictured this day, it was more than just an excuse to have a good meal and party (although we have been looking forward to that too), we wanted our friends and family here with us. SO thank you for being here.

Mill: Kyle and I have wanted to get married for a long time (although I have probably wanted it a bit longer and had to wait for Kyle to catch up). I have known for a long time that I love Kyle and wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, and I just want to say Thank you Kyle for choosing to spend your life with me and allowing me to walk beside you for the rest of our lives.

Kyle: I guess I did take a bit longer to decide to ask Carmilla to marry me, but I have always known that I love her and want to be with her. So Carmilla, thank you for coming today and for marrying me. Thank you for being who you are. You are strong and loving and I couldn’t ask for a better wife. You have always been my best friend, and now you are my wife. I love you.

Mill: We would also like to thank our parents, for supporting us, loving us and helping with all the planning (and hopefully the money Mum, Dad??) for the wedding! I would especially like to thank Mark and Rob for helping us, supporting us and just loving us for who we are. Thanks for all the hard work you have put in to help our special day mean even more to us.
To our Bridesmaids Beck, Sarah and Josephine, thankyou for standing with us and supporting us on this special day. It means everything to me to have my sisters and daughter here with me today. Thank you especially to Beck, you have gone above and beyond my expectations in every situation in the lead up to this day. I couldn’t have done this day without her and we‘re sure that one day she will expect us to repay the favour! Love you.

Kyle: Thankyou to our Groomsmen, Nathan, Matt and Phil, thank you so much for standing alongside us today. Nathan, you have always been there for me and I really appreciate all you have done. Phil thanks for coming through at the last minute. You have been such a huge support to Carmilla and I. We both thankyou from the bottom of our hearts. Matt, what can I say, but thanks for travelling down here. I know its along way, but it also means a lot to us both.
To all our friends and family, thank you once again for being here to celebrate today with us.
So please raise your glasses, To Friends and Family!"

Wow Mill thats a wonderful speech, very inspirational..

I will add this to my list of things i need 2 speak 2 Col about when planning our special day...

Thats fine. My sister really helped with that. She is so good at putting words together. And she did it in such a way to make it sound like the too of us. It took the pressure off us too, which helped even more.

I thanked our ushers, and gave them gifts, I thanked the 2 ppl who did readings in the church and gave them gifts and I thanked the flowergirl and gave her a gift, I then made a small speech and toast to my Husband it was this:

When you win
I fly
When you fall
I Cry
I promise I'll be beside you
For the rest of my life

Then my 7 year old daughter got up and stole the show with her speech but that is another story!
