To tie? Or not to tie?

Just more of a discussion than anything really.

I've given FH full responsibly for his suit (well I give him the colour) and he is allowed to choose whatever he wants. Speaking to my BIL he HATES ties, so on their wedding day why would it be any different? And he didn't wear a tie!

So just wondering, are you choosing your FH/ or chose their outfit? Or did you let them go and pick it themselves?

Been going through the motions too LL!!
I have quite a formal dress and H2B now doesn't even want to wear a suit, but i told him he can take the tie & jacket off after the pics.
I like the idea of a dark grey pinstripe suit with green ties matching the BMs for the boys plus a ivory tie for H2B. Up to him what type of suit really...

OMG no way would I let him pick his own suit! He picked it out with a lot of guidance from me!! haha he actually chose his shoes on his own.

i chose FH it is a black pinstripe out of season Armani and he loves it
and he doesent want to wear a tie so im not sure what we are doing yet

If I had of left it to dan to get his own suit not only would he have been wearing the first one he seen but he would also prob not of gotton the right size...

I picked it and glad I did.. Oh and the tie was not an option he just had to wear one...lol

DH and I both went in to find his suit. He basically chose it, but I gave the last opinion :P

His only stipulation was that he didnt wear a tie and got to wear Havianas!!

FH is wearing a tie - he's not a tie man and half assed tried to fight it at first - his thing was "no fat boy ties" coz I love the look of the fatter ties...esp as the GM's are both "bigger" gents...

So no fat boy tie...til we had to get FH and Bee's vests and ties from a diff shop to get them to match my dress...and Bee had a normal adult tie on so it looked fat on him, so Mike tried the fat boy on to humour me - and loved the look!!!!!!!

Woo hoo - fat boys it is...

Anyhoo - reckon that the "tie or no tie" basic rule is it depends on the formality of your wedding - like Ings said - her dress is quite formal so I would expect a tie in that sitch, but if it's abeach wedding and your wearing your hair loose with a flower behind your ear and no shoes, then no tie required....they grey bit are the weddings in between!!!

my dress is very detailed but as it will be hot when we get married FH is wearing chocolate brown pinstripe slacks, matching vest and white open collar shirt, and geez he looks hot!
