Honestly for marrying Kirtis was present enough for me...

And we really couldnt afford to anyways....

Honestly I think it's just another way to make you spend money. Today's society seems to think you have to buy a present for everything.

Weddings cost enough without buying presents for yourselves on top of it! You are pledging to spend the rest of your lives together and giving each other rings to symbolise your eternal love, what can top that?

Save it for your first anniversary.

Go for it DB - I'm thinking of changing it a bit more to omit/change the expensive parts, it's really just he sentiment I want to get across.

I'm not getting a present, it's along story but I wanted a white gold/diamond bangle which we could have got for under $300, but Mark said no. He;d rather we spent the money on the honeymoon...... he makes a good point!

For that poem girls, just another idea if you H2B doesnt wear a watch...you could get a clock and perhaps get it engraved with your names and wedding date! thats what i plan on doing :)
