I know what you mean about it being a bit hard for your Pop- perhaps you could make it at a time after the speaches so he could sneak away and collect himself without missing anything too important if he got a bit emotional?
Good idea

MY brother was emcee and he arranged a game that was people friendly. He agreed there is nothing worse than people feeling uncomfortable having to do silly things (especially women) and we had a huge range of ages that were single. He had me chose a number (I combined DH's birthday and mine and came up with 40) and he stood all the single girls in a circle and counted around until it got to that number while the music played. I was just happy to toss it, but it worked well, no one got into fisticuffs or anything, no falling over with legs in the air, no-one being scared over my overly rough sister and scattering like we've been known to in the past.
The garter - now that's a whole another story. . . . lol

I also don't know what to do with my throw bouquet. the florist is making one up for me without charging me, but the only single girls i am inviting wouldn't be interested in catching it, so I don't know what to do. I'm not sure whether my mum would appreciate it... and my grandmother is divorced. If I gave it to FMIL my mum would get jealous so perhaps I should just give it to her to avoid potential conflict. Any thoughts? Longest married couple is a good one, though. There is one couple coming who have been married for 65 years. This again may cause conflict, however.
Love to all,
Chessa xx

perhaps you could use the flowers from it to decorate the bridal table or you cake or something - you could also divide it and give one to each girl in the bridal party or something

blossy I think i'm addicted to BTB!

My Mood:
Chessa - I had my throw bouquet made as 2 smaller bouquets, tied together. I broke it and gave half to each mum. Perhaps that's an option?

For a hand tied posy, no reason why she can't do any number.

I wanted to do it with my real bouquet, but I had a large lily bouquet and it was all wired, and she didn't think she could make it look right as a break bouquet. But the hand tied one was fine. I had it sitting in a vase as a display until I divided it up.
