there's no such thing as a cheap skate at your wedding hon...

there's soo many things that you need... along with the things you WANT and have to have...

i think they look pretty nice...

maybe look over your list and look at everything in detail... what you definitely MUST have and what could maybe be... either not done... or done cheaper (like these flowers) you have time hon... try not to stress too much!

I think they look lovely - and the crystals are quite easy to do yourself if you're that way inclined - like me!!

Your quote seems really expensive to me babe! Ours is costing about 800 but thats not including any reception flowers.
I cant believe they are charging for a throwaway! Most places give that to you as a freebie.
I reckon you could get a better quote honey, or go artificial, they look gorgeous and dont even look fake these days

Heya Charmaine, I posted something to this effect about 2 months ago, when I realised how much my flowers were going to cost - $2500!
And the responses I got were basically, if you can cover the cost with your budget, and you really want them, then go for it!

If you are having trouble costwise however, then I would personally be trying to cut back the amount of flowers, rather than go artificial, but that is totally my opinion – artificial ones look gorgeous (Rhi’s ones are amazing!) but I really love the smell of fresh flowers.

Maybe you could cut out the pedestal arrangements, and try for cheaper/smaller bouquets for the bridesmaids? For a price comparison, my bridal bouquet is only costing $150, and my bridesmaid one is $130. Or maybe you could have fake flowers for the pedestals and table arrangements, and still have fresh for your flowers?

Oh, and the girls are right to suggest getting a second quote – the first florist we were quoted by said $1800 for about a quarter of the flowers we are getting for $2500, and her flowers were nowhere near as nice. And most florists we saw offered the throw posy for free – maybe try a second opinion?

Good luck with it hun!

Yeah, now I think about it, $300 for 2 bridal table arrangements seems very expensive! We are paying around $1000 for our table flowers, but that consists of arrangements of four mixed vases filled with flowers, set at intervals four times along each of our 3 large tables – so 48 vases of flowers, around $20 per vase.

I did our buttonholes and they look just as good as any online - if I do say so myself!!!

Would be happy to do your for you too if you like mine...

We were originally gonna just have artificial for buttonholes and flowergirls, with myself and BM's still having real as I was a flower snob - til I saw mine!!! Hahaha!!! Now I looove them.

Buttonholes under for the boys on my WA - no pw required I don;t think...

I bought the creative weddings magazine yesterday and in there i saw a course for doing flower arrangements (think it is in Sydney tho) if you are worried about arranging flowers yourself you could enquire around where you live to see if there are similar courses.
