Thanks hunny, I'm glad it look natural thats my big aim for my makeup on the day. I remember my makeup artist mentionging weeks ago when I spoke to her that she uses foundation and powder that is non-reflective so the flash doesn't reflect off it, so hopefully that will get around any dramas there

Beautiful make-up!
Just a word of warning for going lighter - the spf in most make-up can 'bounce' back the flash giving you a ghost like appearance in photos!! I am a beauty therapist and whenever I do a bride I am very aware of this particularly as you usually wear a white, ivory or similar colour dress and can look 'washed out in photos'. Hope that helps! |

Blossy - thanks for referring to me as the resident makeup artist haha
Hi Cat, Your makeup looks lovely... very natural indeed. It is very hard to tell whether you need a lighter shade because of the lighting and in the close photos you're wearing a scarf and i can't see how the colour of your face looks against your chest area... most people don't realise that you should actually match the foundation to your CHEST rather than the colour of your FACE.... most people have a darker chest compared to their face... if you go lighter on the face, you might risk looking pastey and ghost-like in your photos. My suggestion is to try a lighter shade (but only ONE shade lighter) and see how it looks in the sunlight and in the dark... then post some more photos and we'll have a look and compare. Another consideration is whether you will be getting a fake tan before the day. A lot of the time, the colour I use at a client's trial is different to what I use on the day! This is because brides these days tend to get a fake tan so by the time the wedding day arrives, they're darker! Unless you are like Brigie Bear.... I actually used a lighter shade on her wedding day because she'd been living in the snowy mountains for a few months since the trial and she'd gone lighter!!!! LOL I actually like the peachy blush tones, as it suits your colour. I think a pinky blush would be too much of a contrast. |
