I'm not going anywhere near the stuff!! I am naturally very pale, allergic to everything, and it doesn't matter what shade i put on, next to my pale blue-based skin (sounds wierd and alien, but you know what i mean! cool toned!) everything looks orange!!! just a shame i'll have to get my stunning pasty hail-damaged rear into a swimsuit for the honeymoon with no tan! :)

I had a trial run of a spray tan over the weekend and it turned out horrible!! I am soo glad i had a trial cause i think i am definately not getting one now!! I had to was it off about an hr after it was done cause it looked really terrible, think fat oompa loompa off charlie and the chocolate factory!!
I think i am going to use a gradual tanning cream and see how that goes.

I actually really love fair skin and think it's beautiful. It can look SO glamorous.
Look how beautiful brigit looked on her wedding day and she's really fair. My advice would be to forego the tan and go au naturale! |

I have had several fake tans done professionally and have had an allergic reaction to every one of them, even the so called 'natural' based ones.
So I wont be having one for our wedding. But if you do decide to I would get it done at least 2-3 days before so it wont rub off on your dress and it has then at least had a little time to settle down and wont look so 'orange' :) I went to a wedding last year where the bride had a really dark tan put on only the day before and it came off on her beautiful white dress & looked really bad and was still very orange. |

I had one done for for my friends wedding when I was her bridesmaid - purely cause i was the whitest there! It ended up going all splotchy and the lady who did it told me that it wasn't needed on my hands or feet - which ended up looking white compared to the rest of me!
All I recommend is the moisturiser golden glow stuff or a quick diy at home spray across the chest area to get rid of any strap marks (especially if you're wearing a strapless!!) BUT ALWAYS DO A TEST WAY IN ADVANCE INCASE IT DOES GOES OOMPLA LOOMPA ON YOU! |

I'm with everyone here, if you are naturally pale, stay pale. It can look superstar glamorous.
That being said, I will be fake tanning before the day. It really suits my skin tone to be a bit darker and as my wedding is in winter, I will be pale. I also have really uneven skin coloring and I find a layer of fake tan evens it out. There are certain brands of spray tan that are for brides and "guarantee" not to rub off. I have not tried them.
