blossy I think i'm addicted to BTB!

My Mood:
We only had about an hour scheduled for photos, including family shots, and as our wedding was at 5.30pm, lots of photographers we spoke to were uncomfortable with this. Especially since they knew that some of that hour would get eaten up by guests coming to congratulate us, and stuff like that. They felt we needed at least 30-45 mins for family shots and an other hour and a half, minimum, for us.

But we went with that anyway, because we did not like the idea of photos beforehand, even though a few suggested it.. we'd rather have less married photos rather than an album of staged stuff.

Just our thoughts!

We had some shots before hand - me with my BMs and FH with his groomsmen, so that is less to be done afterwards.

I agree with Jen though and wanted the shots to be with hubby after we were married, I also didn't want him to see me on the day before the ceremony. It all depends on how much you want to follow tradition, and how you will feel looking back at the photos knowing it was before the ceremony.

I will be have shots before hand with my BM's and I and fh with his GM's, but he isn't going to see me until I stand at the top of the isle.

Because we are having everything onsite, it means that there will be less time in between everything.

I am also looking forward to the photos as the time when fh and I can just be together with our bridal party before the reception starts

We are having our photos after the ceremony, and we didn't even consider having the photos beforehand as I knew we both didn't want that.

I will be having before shots done with my BM's, getting ready at the hotel, and I would like some pics of FH with his boys. But I suppose this is what you go over when you sit down with the photographer and have a chat.

We are being traditional and not letting FH see me in the dress until I walk down the aisle, so definitely after for us. We get a free hour after the ceremony at UWA to take photos so we may as well use it! And we are getting a good friend who is a photographer to do the shots so won't be leaving the party anyway, and he will be there for the whole thing as a guest and will take shots of everyone. Being a photographer by vocation, he would probably bring his camera & take shots all through even if we weren't asking him to be our official photographer!

I would like some nice shots of getting ready as well though... might just have to make sure my Ma gets her camera out early.

I agree with having shots done after the wedding if you want to spend more time with your family and friends on the day.
