Hi Girls

Just wanted to offer some advice for those girls not planning on getting a pro video - I couldn't squeeze it into our budget (which I was really sad about) but my bro and his partner offered to do it (1 cam each)

My brother is currently doing the editing so he's sent me the unedited tapes - I've seen a couple of the tapes and I'm just so happy that they offered to do that for me It's amazing just watching it all over again

I even teared up in bits where I was fine on the night. I loved seeing candid shots of people and stuff that I wasn't around for (like at the church before we got there) But most of all it's such a great way to remember a fab day & night

So I would highly recommend getting your day recorded - even if it's just an amuter vid - it's so fantastic

I only have a amatur video as well from a guest and we love to watch it as it is different.

I still havent seen mine yet. But we got ours done for free by our photographer as promo work, so I really shouldnt complain! lol

I want to get a professional wedding video but FH says it is too expensive and we will just get someone to use our video camera and video it for us, however our $900 video camera that we brought about 1 year and a half ago is crap and doesnt work at night so I suspect he has an alterior motive of getting another video camera. hehe

I am really pleased that you posted this wendz. I have arranged a time to see a videographer on Sunday, but wasn't sure if I really wanted to do it!

Seriously girls I think video is soooo important, much more important than photos. Photos never catch the sound and atmosphere of the day.

I thought how nice it would be to have a video of my parents and even my grandparents wedding. To see them laugh and hear the sounds of the day. So I wanted to do that for my children.

Also it's sooo lovely watching the vows again.

I agree Jen. After a friend got married in December she invited all of her friends around to watch the video and it was so nice because there were parts that they had missed and messages from guests. I didn't get to go to the actual wedding so it was great for me to be able to see it all afterwards.
