Ideas:

- Mini snow globes as bomboniere
- Faux fur stole as an accessory
- Lots of white - cake, dress, decorations, everything!
- Have a ceiling of white balloons, with silver and white ribbons hanging from them
- You can buy bubble machines for about $40 - dance in a sea of bubbles!
- Serve hot chocolate and marshmallows after dinner instead of coffee
- Serve port
- If the venue allows, have an open fire
- Destination wedding? Thredbo has some lovely places to get married - you could always stay on with your guests for a few days of skiing afterwards, before heading somewhere warmer on your honeymoon to thaw out!

Some pagan ideas include:

- holly & ivy
- decorated fir or spruce trees
- mistletoe
- burning a yule log (a long, round log, especially oak, burned on an open fire)
- red & green colours

Obviously these are also now Christmas themes, so you might just want to take a hint of them to avoid a Christmas feel overtaking your day! Mulled wine is also lovely & quite easy to make... just take:

- cheap red wine
- sliced oranges
- spices such as some whole cloves & cinnamon & nutmeg
- sugar

mix it all up, according to taste, and heat til warm (not boiling).
