Get Organised

Once you have picked your wedding date, set goals in which you would like to achieve things. Write a list of priorities for which your bookings need to be made. Use the Beyond The Bride planning timeline to help you organise your priority list set. Buy an organiser or a diary that has ample space to write notes and a section to record imporant phone numbers. Carry the organiser wherever you go to make booking appointments with your wedding suppliers easy and to ensure you always have those important numbers handy.

Planning Time

Each week you and your fiance should set aside time to discuss wedding details and make decisions. During this time assign each other tasks and ensure all tasks from the previous week have been completed. Allowing time to discuss the wedding plans ensures both of you are involved and can make decissions together to create a day you will both love.

Communication is the key

Ensure you both talk about all of the wedding plans. Communication is an important key in keeping a stress free wedding day. The bride and groom should be involved in all aspects of the preparation, brides remember not to leave the groom out. Listening to each other opinons and compromising on details will make is much easier and less stressful.

Important details

When you book a wedding supplier be sure to clarify all the details on the services in which they will perform for your wedding. Ensure all bookings are accompanied with a contract that includes exact details - times, date, location and services. Always read the fine print of the contract and ask the supplier about cancellation fee's. This will ensure if something happends you know what fee's are involved in cancelling their services. Collect a a receipt for any deposits taken and always store these doccuments in a safe place.

Happy Planning

The key to happy planning is staying organised! Keep receipts and documents filed in a safe place and ensure all bookings and appointments are kept in a diary or an organiser to avoid clashes with other events. Doing small things at a time and sharing responsibilities will help keep things running smoothly and stress free.

Happy planning!
